Do you belong to a club or another organization that raises money for charity? Perhaps in the past, your group has raised enough money to provide water to third-world villages in other countries. Or, it might be that you have even provided scholarships to worthy college students. No matter the next charitable event your group is planning, you might already have all your ducks in a row.
On the other hand, maybe you are still looking for ideas to make the event a special one. If that's the case, from arranging for an emcee to providing special entertainment, here are some ideas that might help you to plan an enjoyable and memorable event.
Arrange For An Emcee - You have probably designated heads of committees, right? For example, there is probably a decorating committee and a menu planning committee, and maybe even a committee in charge of clean-up after your event is over. Have you thought of having a particular person serve as the emcee for the event? Your selection of an emcee might be one of the most important choices your group will make. Consider using somebody from your club or organization to serve as the master of ceremonies. For example, perhaps there is an extremely personable man or woman who is not at all shy about getting up in front of a large group.
This individual might be a person who has done a lot of work right in your own community. Yet, maybe you never considered that he or she would be the perfect individual to make people feel comfortable and to add a pleasant atmosphere to your charity event. For example, does a local high school have an outstanding choir program? If so, think about making arrangements for the students to sing at your charity event.
Perhaps a dance school in your area would be happy to provide a floor show that features some of the more advanced students. No matter the entertainment, the emcee you have chosen will more than likely be happy to introduce the entertainment and to make the right acknowledgements to those who have participated.
